The East and West Coast Railway.
Christchurch, April 22. — Mr C. O. Bowen has received the following cablegram from Mr H. A. Scott, the West Coast railway delegate in London :—" Company registered; requisite capital underwritten. Directory : Sir Charles Clifford, Messps Thos. Salt, Home [? Hoare], Hilton, Barnett, and Davis." Nelson, April 22. — The news of the registration of the Company to construct the East and West Coast and Nelson railway has caused great satisfaction.
