THE NEW HEBRIDES. (Reuter's Telegrams.)
London, April 23.
Sir Andrew Clark (Acting Agent-general for Victoria) has received a despatch from Earl Grauville confirming the previous declaration of the French Government that they have deferred any action regarding the New Hebrides until replies have been received to cablegrams addressed by the Colouinl Offico to the various Colonial Governments asking thoir views on the matter.
Earl Graiiville also stai.ed that the Governments in question have been requested to furnish tUcic replies befniwjthe end of April. He hiis received an jhimvvi from the Premier of Victoria which confirms his arlheivnei! to the views propounded in the c:h '.ilegrams already sen t by tin; iVi'iuior of Queensland which stated that the i'«d«r.itert colonies strongly objected to any alteration in the gtntan quo in regard to the New Hfbrides.
