Nelson, April 26.—Smelting at the Champion mine is progressing splendidly. Since 11 on Sunday morning several tons of copper have run x - y i.i. A. S - C t ne on the s P ot is ver y lively, and at night the sight is very grand, the light from the flowing molten metal lighting up the surrounding valley. Thirty-five tons of copper were run out in 24 hours
