HORSE MARKET.
Weight, Stephknson, and Co. held their weekly sale on Saturday last. A considerable number of country horses came forward for it, but as they were chiefly light and weedy sorts they were difficult to quit, even at low prices. Good young heavy draughts, of which there were not many in, sold readily at late quotations. On Tuesday last we held a special sale of light harness colts from Mr William Sibbald's LUybank station, Mackenzie Country. The attendance of buyers was very large, and all the lots changed hands at prices varying from £3 15s to £16 per head. The demand for first-class young draughts and up-s-tanding light harness horses continues good, but light and weedy sorts can scarcely be given away. Owing to the Easter holidays, "there will b« no hoi Be sale until Saturday, May 1.
