TUAPEKA MOUTH.
February 1 5. — The quarterly meeting of the Blue Ribbon Array was he d in the schoolhouse on the evening/ of the 13th iust., Mr Taylor (missionary) presiding. A varied and popular programme of instrumental and vocal music was successfully gone through. A proposal introduced by Mr John Gilliand, to the effect that a choir be organised to assist in the meetings, also to assist in church praise, created quite a livery discussion, ending in a promise from Mr Drain that should a sufficient number come forward he would carry out the wish of the proposer. Seven new members were added to the roll, making in all about 40 here within three months. The meeting, which was a very pleasant and homely one, was terminated by Mr Taylor pronouncing the benediction. Agricultural.— Rain began to fall on Saturday morning, and has continued at intervals up to the present. To all appearance we might have a day or two more ; indeed it is not improbable that we should have, broken weather for some time now. Harvest is in full swing in a few places— at Greenfield there are two self-binders and four back-deliveries at work. I understand the props are very <*ood.
