Bishop Barry, Primate of Australia, laid the foundation-stone of the new building of the V.M.C.A. to-day in the presence of a large and representative assemblage of all denominations, including the Mayor, several bishops attending the General Synod, and many leading citizens. Bishop Cowie presided. The premises will cost £7500. Wklmnoton, January 27. The directors aud experts who went to vibit the Caswell Sound Marble Compaify have returned, and brought back with them all the workmen, machinery, tools, &c., from the quarry. It is understood that instead of £1000, which it was tttou^ttt would give the quarry a fair trial,
