Fat Cattlo.—There was a fair supply forward today, 191 being yarded, the greater part of which were prime quality, with an odd pen extra h^avy. Wool Sales. — The next series will take place on Wednesday and Thurday, 30th and 31st December.

Sheepskins. — Some large catalogues were offered on Mouday, buyers turning moat attention to fullwoolled skins, which brought rather over late ruling rates — say 2s 3d tq -Is 9d for best crossbreds ; 2s to 3s lid for merinos ; dry skins, Is to 4s 4d ; pelts, 3d to M ; lambskins, 2d to Is 2d. Hides. — There is still a steady demand for all sorts, although outside buyers would prefer to deal in heavy lines, but as most of the arrivals are mixed sorts, they are taken for local use. Quotations may be given tor fair average weights, 3d to &jd; specially got up lots, to 4d ; inferior cut aud light weights, 2|d to 2jd per lb. Tallow. — This market is pretty well cleaned out, and as there are several local buyers putting in stocks, prices are a little firmer. Best rendered may be quoted at JEI7 10s to JEI9 ; inferior to medium, £n to £17; low sorts, £11 to £VA; butchers' rough ftit, £ti lo £12 10s. according to quality. Wheat. — Thci'ohasbeun alitl-lf) more stir in Mii.s market, several lines of fair to choice, milling having been disposed of, and Mio mnrket to-day may be termed as quite bare, anything dry and l\C for milling being readily placed. Inferior down to chick feed is very scarce and fetches higher prices. Quotations are as lolkw: — Best milling, 3s 3d to 3s 4d. an extra fine lot fetching 3s sd ; good milling, 3s to 3s 2d ; inferior milling, 2s lid to 3s ; fowls' wheat, 23 6dto 2s lOd.

Oats.— Shippers are again in. the market., and readily take all short bright feed and heavy milling,

but as the quantity of these descriptions" is limited, more attention is given to long oats if in ahiything like tuir colour. Prices for both sorts show art improvement. Inferior (damp, musty, and discoloured) iire plentiful, and almost unsaleable. For best milling, Is 103 to Is 10§d ; short stout feed, Is B}d to la s'£d ; Uiorfc oats, a little off colour, Is 7£d to Is 8d; long tartarinn and Danish bright, Is 8d to Is 9|d ; inferior and discoloured, Is 3d id la 6d. Barley.— Several linei have found buyers at 2s Id to 2s Od", mostly for feeding purposes. Potatoes.— Derwents are quite out of season; consequently unsaleable.
