Paradox will be remembered as having won* the Two Thousand Guinea Stakes last month, and run second to Melton in the Derby on the 3rd inst. Melton was not nominated for the Grand Prix. The pedigree and performances of Paradox we have already given in detail.
Keluisant ran twice last season, and on both occasions unsuccessfully. He was unplaced in. the Grand Criterion Stakes, of 536 soys, wob at Paris by The Condor, and ran third to Barberine and Mophistopheloa in the Chantiliy Prix de Salamandre, of 419 soya. This year hehas been running better, and in April he wor* a valuable ftfako in the Prix de Quiche. Present Times ran twice in Franoe last year, and won one race in a field of 12, starting at the 6hort odds of sto 4. In England he ran 10 times, but only secured winning brackets on one occasion, namely in the Royal Stakes, of 488' sovs, at Windsor. He however ran very forward in tha other events, gaining a place in nearly all of them.
