It was resolved to isuue rural deferred-pay-ment licenses to W. Muir for section 9, block VII, Mokoreta, and to J. Muir for section 11. TEVIOT, The following application to purchase under exchange licease was approved : — Mary M'Pherson to J. M'Pherson (deceased), section 9, block IX, Toviofc. CAPITALISATION. Applications to capitalise were agreed to as follows : — W. Stewart, section 23, block IT, 1 Slopedown ; J. Mulvena, fiootion 2, bbek X, Mare when j&; J. Shine, section' 7, block I, Kurow. OTARA. J. Kingsland's application to purchase de-ferred-payment section 21, block I, Ofcara, waa approved of, the conditions of purchase having been complied with. HILLKSD. Ranerer Hughan having inspected section 15, block X, Hillend, applied for by Mr Rosb, of Manuka Creek, reported that no mining or prospecting had been done on the section, and recommended that it be either leased for a torm of years or sold.— A petition was received against the application, — Consideration of tho application was deferred in the meantime. MANIOTOTO. James Samuel was declared the lessee of parpetual lease section 19, block XIV, Maniototo (59 acres), at the upset price of Is 9d per acre. G. H. Gordon asked the Board to set apart sectioas 11 and 12, block XIV, Maniototo, for perpetual leasing. — Government recommended to open sections for porpetual leasing. UPPER WAKATIPC. The Under-secrelary for Crown Ltnds trans mitted a schedula of lands at Uppar Wakatipu, "Glenorchy, and Earnslaw lo be shortly openad on the porpetual-leaaing system. J. E. Haines wrote a*kiue that sections 15, 16, and part of 14, block I, Wakatipu, eeotiens 47, 48, and part of 46, blnck I, Earnslaw, and 31, 30, and 29, block I, Wakatipu, should be opened for sale ou the deferred - payment Eysteni. Mr P. B. Boult alao made application fco purchaae sections 30, 31, aad 32, block I, Upper Wakatipu, at £1 psr acre. Monson) for permission m ocoupy the commonage reserve oa blocks XX and XXI, Shotover, suggested that the offer ba accepted on condition that the land is kept clear of rabbits.— Referred to the County Council for consideration. OATLINS. D. M'Nuth applied to purchase 50 acres of unsurveyed land at Catlins. — Ranger Hughan reported that there was no objection to the application being granted.— The application was approved. CHATTON. ll&nizar Hughan, reporting on the application of J. R9idy to have section 38, block XIV, Ohatton, offered at the reduced price of £2 per acre, suggested that the application be declined. — Declined. TABLE HILL. A. Spark applied for a lease of seotion 21, block V, Table Hill, for 10 or 20 years, at a rental of 6d per acre, on condition that he kept the land clear of rabbits, — Governor- in-Council to be recommended to lease the land for depasturing purposes for 10 years, at an upset rental of 9d per acieKUROW. W. Shaw applied to be allowed to take up 75 acres of section 5, block V, Kurow, to increase bis deferred- payment area to 320 acres. Declined. BLAOKSTONE, The Chief Surveyor suggested the advisa-< bility of withdrawing sections 10 and 13, block V, Blackstone, from sale, with the view of reserving the land for a village site. — Sao ions to be withdrawn from salo with a view to carrying out the recommendation. KAWARAU. Messrs Leslie, Reid, and Kinross forwardad a petition asking that sections in block 3, Kawarau, be opened for sale for cash. — The Ciiikf Commissioner asked the Board to withdraw from sala sections 10, block 3, and 3, 13, and 14, block V, Kawarau, as they wera already occupied. — Resolved, lo withhold the sections from salo.
