Auckland, July 23. Mr Barton Ireland, a member of the firm of Ireland Bros., tanners, was seized with a fit of coughing at 1 o'clock this morning, broke a bloodvessel, and died an hour later. It is stated that Dr Philson, coroner, intends to hold a post-mortem examination of the body to ascertain the cause of death. It is believed that death was caused by over-excitement and overexertion in respect of the elections.
