RABBITS AT MAKAKORA. TO THE EDITOR.

£m,- My attention was called to a paragraph from your Wanaka correspondent, which appeared in th© Witness a few weeks ago. He said rUbbit-poisonlngr was being vigorously carried on up to the Neck, but beyond that limit nothing was being done. To' that statement I givo a moßfc emphatic denial. Tour correspondent cannot have been over the ground or bo would not have made such a glaring mis-statement. Thore are very few rabbits beyond the Neck, dub poisoning has been systematically carried on, I think to the satisfaction of the inspector; «ndyoor correspondent might go for a day's ride all over the Makarora Valley and hardly see a Single rabbit.—! am.&c ■ Statiok Mana«bb.
