Wo are sorry to hue to iecord the fieath of the abovcnatned tontleman, which took place rather suddenly on the 13th ult. Fjr the last two years Sir Winker hid charge of the chess department of tho Australasian, and was a frequent contributor to the English and ColoniM magazines. Mr Wisker was a native of Hall, \ orkshire He was a good linguist, and died ft tho early ago of 37.
