January 12. School Examination —The following is the result of the examination of our school : Percentage passed, 90 ; percentage of passes attainable gained, 86 Gereral report : It is only nine months since the school was previously examined. Bearing thii in mind, and also that the work of the school was hindered by whooping-cough, these results are most creditable. Heading was fluent, accurate, and distinct, but deficient, in expression and modulation. The language of the leßSona was very fairly understood. Spelling was accurate except in Standard IV. Writing was very eood. Arithmetic was somewhat weak in all the Standards except Standard II Grammar, Geography, and History were well known, bub the answers to the last were rather shoit Tho order and attention were excellent. The school maintains its former good chalacter. Science and Object Lessons have not been taught, on account of the lar*e number of classes in the sehorol. Sewing receives attention.— (Signed) Wm, laTlor, Inßpe'ctfor,
