1 The members , of the Tpachers' Saturday class met at the Normal School on Saturday last, and presented , the Hector (Mr Fitzgerald) with a small token, of their respect ,and esteem in the form of some 20 volumes of George Eliot's works, suitably bound and inscribed!'
Mi' Fisher, in requesting Mr .Fitzgerald's acceptance of, ,them, took occasion to thank him on behalf of , the member* for his valuable and gratuitous instruction during' the last five or six mouths of 1881^ and referred, to the courtesy and attention shown by.Mr Fitzgerald to any teacher who applied to him for advico or assistance. Mr Fitzgehalp,. responded, thanking them in a few feeling and telling words. He drew attention to the cordial manner hi which the class had worked together in the past, and his advice respecting future arrangements was Much appreciated by those present. After the exchange of Rood .vislies the teacher* withdrew, but before separating ,ex>, pressed their obligations to Mr Farnie, &A.', for his excellent historical lecture's delivered during p&rkof the eaine time,
