Jacob Terry writes as follows in reference to the six days' walking match recently held at New York :— The six-day walking match in New York resulted in the break-down of llowell on the fourth day, he having been pushed the first day, in which he made 150 miles. Tho strain was too great to be kept up, and he retired.
