For some time it has been " rain, ram,' steadily ■' dripping on' tho pavements and tho stones, as it did at ;< "my Lady Dediock's place in Lincolnshire, 1 but after ■i having stopped tho cricket match, on Monday, it has ' BUoppod itself. The Goto team, hqweyer, \vero,enteri taincd at dinner, and a merry evening was spent, i, several patriotic and other toasts were drunk, and :■ they returned home. ' ' ' 'The school sports, held on Tuesday, were a great J success, and at the concert in ' the evening the 1 youngsters distinguished themselves, and reflected credit ou their, teachers, three cheers for whom were given with great enthusiasm. Mr ' W. Christie, our second teachor here; has re- j signed. The Committee passed a resolution expressing j their, regret at losing him, and wishing him every [ success in his tuturo ' suhoro.
