For the second day's races the weather was extremely fine, and there was a good attendance. On the totalisator on the first day there was £2000. Izaak Walton ran off the course and injured himself severely and the jockey was considerably shaken. Endymion plunged and reared and kicked down a man. Randwick came in an easy winner, hands down. The accident caused by Izaak bolting was rather serious. A dog frightened the horse causing him to swerve, and in doing so he knocked a perambulator (with a child of Mr Royse's in it) over, breaking the child's arm.
