LONDON WOOL MARKET.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile, Agency Company (Limited) have received the following^tejeuram, from their London office, dated 28th March' :— ''Wool : Competition is increasing and quotations are on av.erage Id to ljd per lb better than at opening sales'.' Up to date 227,000 bales have been sold ; ,125,000 bales have been taken for export.' The sale programme has been curtailed by four days.. Long staple merino, light in grease, washed and scoured are firmer. Long staple merino, heavy in grease, is easier. Fine crossbred market oasier. Coarso crossbred market easier. The next sales are limited ,to 350,000 bales, and will , commence, on 16th,, May. Advices have been received of short supplies from Australia." "
