MACRAES.

(FROM ODR OWN OORRKBPONDKNT.)

April 4th. The lato change in tho weather has srreatlv retarded the progress of harvesting in both this district and that of Moonlight. Most of the crops are, however, cut, and if the weather be favourable all will be gathered in in about a fortnight. I am informed that Mr Purvis, manter of the StrathTaieri School, will deliver a lecture in Macraes schoolhouse on the evening of the 10th inst., in aid of the Macraes School Fund.
