April 4th. Threshing has scarcely been commenced. One of Garrat's mills hasbeon purchased by Messrs ,W. and G. Johnston,' and has Just arrived by the Himalaya, from England. It is > expected to enter the district ere long. One of the same sort of mills threshed a considerable quantity of ((rain last year in this place, and gave entire satisfaction to the farmers, who declare them "caiital oleftne'S.."

Fine weather has prevailed for the past weak, with the exception of Monday, which was a little dirty. Should it keep flue for a week in the majority of cases the crop will be in the stack. The school holidays have terminated, and the teacher will commence his duties this week.
