The report to be presented to tho shareholders of the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, at the meeting in Londcm on February 3-.il, showed that the net profit, for the year wa- £80,113 12s 6d. The directors recommended the payment of a dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, and of a bonus of B per cent., and that £30,000 should go to tho reserve fund, which would thus be raided to £200,000. Tho report of tho National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, also to be presented to tho London meeting on FobruarySrd, showed a net profit of £29,419 11s 7d, which, with tho amount brdught forward from last year, loft a disposable balanco of £48,017 Ms lOd. An interim dividend of 5 per qont. was paid in July last, and it was proposed to pay another such dividond, making 10 por cent, lor the year.
