(Reutbr'b Special.) London, March 7th. Edwin James, the well-known ex-Q.C, who some years ago was disbarred, is dead. ,In the House of Commons last night the question of Mr Bradlaugh's admission again came up for consideration, in view of that gentleman's re-election for Northampton. Sir Stafford Northcote renewed his opposition to the admission of Mr Bradlaugh, and an amendment to the motion before the House was then introduced by a Liberal member to provide for a modification of the existing, statute so as to make it optional on the,. part of newlyelected members to swear the oath or to make an affirmation. The debate continues.

In the House of Lords to-day, a bill requiring that members of Parliament shall make a declaration of their belief in God was introduced by Earl Redesdale, and read a first time.

Mr Miles, the Conservative candidate, was elected to-day for Malmesbury, vice Mr W. Powell. The death is announced of Earl Wilton, aged 83. Consols are unchanged at lOOg. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations :— 5 per cent. 10-40 loan, 105 ; 5 per cent. 1889 loan, 104 ; 4J per cent. 18791904 loan. 100. The wheat market is dull. Adelaide (ex warehouse) remains at 545 ; New Zealand do, 495. Adelaide flour (ex warehouse), 38s. Australian tallow— best beef, 40s; best mutton, 455. Market dull. At the wool sale to-day 9900 bales were catalogued. A firm and active demand was experienced for the lots offered. Combing wools were animated.

The Bank of Australia (?) has declared a dividend of 6 per cent." for the past half-year.
