Watson' reports ' for the week ending 'lstMarch-:— j;< -^ c?oif. ■.'', ' i ."\, Reef ton.— Tlie Welcome Company's' return for the week was 9510z of amalgam, and the yield for the fortnight Qosoz r oi retorted north end of j. No. C level is' being; extended ; stoping and ' re timber- > inj> are also being continued.— The' Just-ip-Time Company's reef is 'about 2ft thick; showing good gold. — ' ' *>Th'o Golden Treasure Company^ 1 are" extending theP' >drive north .of the winding-shaft. ,Tho lode varies 'from'2ft to 5ft 1 in "thickness.— The Golden* Point ' Company's upper level is on the cap of a big reef, showing gold freely. They are. now driving a low lev.el, anct expect to cut the roef by driving- 60ft, which will give them 150 ft of backs.— The Royal Company, 'adjoining the Golden Point, have the same line of reef, which will shortly bo proved. — The Golden Fleece Extended ' Company have a good body of quartz in tholr lowest lovel.— The Result Company have traced the reef on No. 3 level with good prospects. — The Specimen Hill Company's reef .has been driven on over a length of 100ft.— The Imperial Company's shaft is 63ft down, and i the roef is 2ft thick, showing- rich stone,' an'l in solid country.— The Fiery Cross Company: Tho 'driving of the crosscut from the foot is proceeding satisfactorily. -pThe Nil Decperandum Company, have some goocl , quartz, and gold is plainly visible 'in. the reef.— Tho Keep-it-Dark Company are crushing.— The Inangahuo. low-level tunnel have met with some gold-hearing-quartz, which thoy, are driving on.— The Laukcy's Cement Company have arranged for a battery. Macotown. -Tho Maryborough Company are still sinking the winze, and the reef is widening' out, showing gold all through the stone. ■ The new addition to the battery is expected to be finished in a fortnight, when the stone which is accumulating in the pafldodks will -bo ciushod.— Tho Homoward-Bound . ■ Company are gleaning, up,; and have a quantity of stonu to take out from the low level. The inspects Steadily improve. Tho Latlye Faj re Company, adjoining tho above, have crushed 200 tons of stone, with tho .result of 33soz of retorted gold.MThe Gladstone and Premier Companies aie still continuing to drive their low-level tunnels.
