Lady Jarvis is suffering from indisposition. Mr Burnett has been very successful in his temperance crusade. At a monster meeting oe Saturday, in the Town Hall (Sir Henry Ayers presiding), the speakers included Dean Russell. The Chief Secretary (Mr Morgan) presidea at the next meeting. The Exhibition Commissioners have asked for LSOOO from the Government for the representation of the Colony at Melbourne. The Government has appointed Sir Arthur Blyth to represent the Colony on the Colonial Defences Commission in England.
