Truly we are never satisfied, but dispite our growling, Dame Mature wears a smiling face, and the fields are ' luxuriant with emerald green. The crops' on' the hills are * especially good, and at no time have we had promise of a better harvest than now. To all appearance the yield willbe' heariy] double that of last year, where justice has been done to the soil. A lecture, entitled' " Life from the Dead," for the purpose 1 of- raising funds to purchase Sunday Sohool library books', was delivered by Mr F. Joseph' in the Bchoolhouse, on Mondaynight. The evening was raw and cold, bo the audience was not so large as it otherwise would have been.- < Still sufficient money was jjathered to get a good number of books, to whioh the - young folkß will in nowise objeot.
