A meeting has been held at West Oalder, Scotland, for the formation of a Conservative Association, in anticipation of the contest between the Right Hon. W. E. Gladstone and the Earl of Dalkwith. The Victorian Volunteers have been mastering the new drill for a twelvemonth past, similar to that introduced in the British army.
