MASONIC FUNERAL.

The remains of the lats Bro. Thomaa Tayler were interred with full Masinic honours on Saturday, July 5 th, in his family grave at Port Chalmers. Thenco tha Lodge, having been joined by the R.W.M., officers, and membera of tho Oargill Kilwianing Lodge, No. 632, tho R.W M. and effi >era of the St. Andrew's Lodge, No. 432, and the R W. Mastars of the O^aj;o ICil winning and Celtic Lo'3ge3, Scottish Constitution, procaederl to the late re.ticbnce of their dec-as.sd brother, and, having formed procession, accompanied tae re mains to the cemetery. The servico of the Churah of Eugland having been rendered by the Rev. F. J. Sotham, the Masonic ceremonial was then proceeded with, Bro. Murray. the W.M., assisted by Bro. P.M. Ritchie, reading the beautiful ritual of the Order in a most impressive manner. This being concluded, the brethren advanced to the grave, and each cast upon the coffin an evergreen sprig, the Director of Ceremonies breaking hh wand and casting it, together with a cypress wreath, upon it. The bre'hren then re-formed iato procession and returned to their Lodge, which was formally closed at 5 p.m.
