Lawrence, February 14th. The County Council met to-day, and decided to give Mr Kitching notice that unless he handed over the Beaumont punt at once aa per agreement, the Council will erect a punt as soon as possible. A deed of submission for arbitration re the Beaumont bridge, and Mr Kitching's rights in connection therewith, was laid on the table; but owing to a clause in it binding the Council to abide by the arbitration, which is specially provided against by the lease, the Council would not entertain the deed,.
