ITUAPEKA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Lawrence, February 14th. The County Council met to-day, and decided to give Mr Kitching notice that unless he handed over the Beaumont punt at once aa per agreement, the Council will erect a punt as soon as possible. A deed of submission for arbitration re the Beaumont bridge, and Mr Kitching's rights in connection therewith, was laid on the table; but owing to a clause in it binding the Council to abide by the arbitration, which is specially provided against by the lease, the Council would not entertain the deed,. Accounts amounting to upwards of L4OOO were passed for payment.
