SADDLE HILL DISTRICT SCHOOL.
Under date December 28tb, our cojreapoadent writes : — The pupils of the above school dispersed for a short vacation-, previous to the regular holidays in February, last Tuesday. Many of the parents were present, and supplied the young people with an- unlimited quantity of good things. As Mr Taylor had iu-. spected the school some two 67 three weeks before, and reported very satisfactorily as to its condition, it was not considered neceaaary to submit the pupils to a very long esamutt*tion. Mr Stuart assisted the teacher in tHe examination so far as it went, aad afterwards distributed the certificates and prizes in th» following order * — First Standard— Girls : Janet M'Coll, 2?
