M., Dun. edin : — A banker discounting a bill of £1515 for 73 days by the common method, deducts 8s more than he would have done had he taken tho true discount. Find tho rate per cent, per annum at which the bill was discounted, and interpret the negative result. The solution will he given, in full, on the 20th July. In the meantime, we hope some of our arithmeticians will work out the problem. 463. Question. — By J. G.
