CONCERT AT BLUESKIN SCHOOL.

On Friday night, August 24th, a very successful amateur concert was given in the large room of this school. It was intended to aid the building fund of the new Government School, Blueskin, and yielded a large sum to the School Committee.

The Committee : Messrs J. Ayles (Chairman), D. Bobertson, Jones, Rochford, and Eans, to whom the arrangements had been entrusted, worked admirably together, and were indefatigable in their endeavours to promote the enjoyment of their guests, and they succeeded to admiration in doing so. There was a large attendance of the settlers and working people of Blueskin and surrounding' districts, the room being quite full, and they certainly seemed to be highly entertained with the singing and recitations. Dancing commenced shortly after twelve o'clock, and was kept up until an early hour on Saturday morning.
