NO. 2 OLUTHA.BIFLES.
Twelve members of this Company turned out on Sat-jrday to compete for » silver cup, which has been raised by subscriptions from members in the Company. The cup has to be won five times before it becomes the property of the winner. The following are the. scores of the six highest :—
The great walking match between O'lieary and Weston, for LIOOO, came off at the Agricultural Hall last week. It commenced directly after midnight on Sunday, April lßt, and was concluded late on the night of Saturday, the 7th. O'Leary had the' advantage nearly throughout. Weston retired at 11 p. m. , having walked 510 miles, whilst O'Leary accomplished 520 miles two laps. On Friday there were 20,000 people at the hall to see the competition.
