[BY SUBMARINE TELEGRAPH.] ' Sydney, April sth. The quarter s revenue showa an increase of nearly half a million over the corresponding quarter of the last year. The increase prh> cipally arises from Land Sales The immigrant ship British Enterprise arrived at Adelaide yesterday with smallpox aboard. The combined team, in their second innings, are all out for 159, aud the English won by four wickets. Atlas, writing in the World, says that the Prince of Wales is about to visit Australia and New Zealand. Sailed : Wakatipu. April 7th. The City of Sydney has not yet been signalled. Arrived : Eaaby, from Newcastle. _, „ , April 9fch. lhe Zealandia sailed at three on Saturday. The City of Sydney arrived yesterday evening. " . April 10th. The schooner T. M. Sfcatson, from Newcastle to San Francisco, sprang a leak when off Cape Howe, and bore up for Howe's Island, where she was beached. The cantain, hia wife, anti the crevz were safely landed. Three of the crew then look a boat and provisions, and sailed for Sydney, arriving here on Sunday. The s.s. Hecp sails for Auckland tomorrow. . _ The weather ia fine. The Exhibition was opened at noon .by the Governor. The members, of the Government, the' Corporation, the leading citizens, , and a large concourso of people were present. Owing 1 to ; the live stock show being .deferred till: the l<th, and extensive machinery, being in 'a state of unp'reparedness, "the" Exhibition presented an unfinished appearance outside. The^ Canadian and' American Courts are -not -yet' ready, but'-the main badding is in order, and presented an interesting spectacle. Pastoral, mining, and agricultural industries were represented. The fine arts were rather poor, and the sec" tions. representing minor industries were well filled Mr P. H. Watt, of Wanganui, was highly commended for. his wool exhibits. Two other exhibits, of an indifferent claß3 by the same exhibitor were also highly commended. Melbourne, April 7th. The. ship Linguist, which arrived here yesterday, reports the death of a seaman from small-pox.
