MR. ARTHUR BEVERLY sends the following Arithmetical Problem:—"A circular plate of brass, 6'inches in diameter anduniform thickness, has a circular hole cut out, whoso centre is one inch from the centre of the plate. The centre of gravity of the perforated plate ' is in the circumference ,of the hole. What isthe diameter of the hole ?
