THE MACANDREW TESTIMONIAL.
The meeting convened for last Tuesday at the ■ Masonic Hall, Port Chalmers, of the supporters of 1 Mr James Macandrew, was but sparsely attended, only fourteen persons being present. The Mayor was in the chair, and in his opening address stated that the question of a testimonial to Mr Macandrew had beea submitted to the Chairmen of Road Boards, and they had promised co-operation. Lang and the Mayor. It was resolved that the Committee should meet in the Town Hall that night week, and, if requisite, that the subscription lists be kept open for a fortnight. The meeting terminated in the usual manner.
