Thursday, March Ist. • Mr R. B. Martin held a. sale of Government lands to-day. Hs disposed of the deferred payment sections in block VI., Glenkenich District. Six applicants for seetio n44— John Brown, buyer, at 2s 5d per acre, pay-ablehalf-yearly. Section 46, John Spark, at upset, Is 6d per acre; no opposition. Section 48, Alexander Reid, 5s per acre, half-yearly —forfeited ; will be offered again. Section 49, Dan. Robertson, 3s 5d per acre. Section 50, James Crawford, 3s 3d per acre. Section 53, James Eskdale, unopposed, Is 6d, upset. Section 15, block IX., Greenvale District, George Ranger, unopposed, Is 6d, upset. One or two of the applicants were absent. The competition was keen, as will be seen from the prices realised. ■"'
