The only "Singer" Machines are those made by The Singer Manufacturing Company. Every "Singer" Machine bears a Trade Mark stamped on a Brass Plate and fixed to the Arms. BUY NO MACHINE WITHOUT IT. Every "Singer" Machine has also the registered number stamped on the Bed-plate below the Trade Mark. BUY N# MACHINE WHICH HAS THIS NUMBER DEFACED. Old and Second-hand Machines re-japanned, are palmed on the unwary as new, the' numbers being erased or filed down to avoid detection. o BEWARE OF WORTHLESS COUNTERFEITS. -— o The Company fix their Trade-Mark-Plate t° the Arm of every Machine as an additional protection to the Public. Purchasers shoxild see that the details of this Plate correspond with the representation above, and THAT THE NUMBERS HAVE NOT BEEN FILED OFF, a?, without them, the Machine may be Old or Second-hand. It having come to our knowledge that certain dealers, not in any way connected with this Company, are offering in the Australian andlfew Zealand market, Sewing Machines under the title of " Singer" Machines, we take this means of informing the Public that our Solo Authorised Agents for the several Colonies are Messrs Stanford and Co., of Melbourne ; and that from thia firm only can Genuine Singer's Machines of our manufacture be obtained.
