SHOTOVER TERRACE GOLD-MIN-ING COMPANY.

The annual general meeting of the Shotover Terrace Gold Mining Company was held on Tuesday. For some time after the hour of meeting there were only nine shareholders present, tlie small attendance being no doubt owing to an announcement that had been published by the Legal Manager. It was—" In consequence of the non-arrival of the Company's books and accounts from Queenstown, intended to be submitted to the shareholders, the annual general meeting of the Company advertised for tomorrow [yesterday], will be held pro forma only, for the purpose of adjournment. Mr Tuuncull announced his intention to ask a number of questions, and accordingly a tenth shareholder was bought for and found, making the legal quorum in number of shareholders. Mr H. F. Hardy was called to the chair. Mr TuttNßUliL then moved— "That at the adjourned meeting the following particulars be furnished, namely: — Ist. Details of the amounts paid as preliminary expenses and of all sums charged as expenses since tho Company was formed till the present time, with the names of the parties to whom such amounts were paidj 2nd. Details of all sums charged as biokerage or commission on shares sold, or calls received, with the names of the recipients of such brokerage and commissions. 3rd. A return of all transfers of shares from the floating of the Company till the present time, giving the nnmes of sellers and buyers, and the prices at which the shares were transferred, keeping in a separate list the paid up shares allotted to the original owners of the Company." Mr H. B. Martin seconded the motion, whioh was oarried. Mr G. E. Elliot gave what he believed was the reason of the nen-arrival of the books and accounts of the Company from Queenstown.
