Education Office, Dunedin, 21st August, 1871, TO BE LET", In consequence of the owner leaving the province, the well-known and beautifully situated MARTENDALE, RYAL BUSH, One of the earliest selections in Southland, having been taken up in 1837. Nearly all fenced in, and divided into paddocks, sonic laid down in artificial grass. Soil all arable, and very rich, a potato weighing 71bs 2oz being grown thereon. Splendid garden and orchard of two acres, twelve years old, from which several tons of fruit (chieny apples), can be sold yearly. Shelter perfect, there being fifty acres of heavily-timbered bxi&h, which extends to the X., S., and W., and large bush reserve adjoining. Being so well sheltered, is admirably adapted for hopgrowing, which has lately proved the most remunerative crop. Two excellent streams, never dry. Four stockyards (one floored), capital milking sheds, dairy pigstie, &c. The house contains nine rooms, including diningroom, thirty-two feet in length. Distance, nine miles from Invercargill, and the same from Winton ; railway runs through centre of property ; station adjoining, only rive minutes' walk from house ; trains daily.
