Bay Cwrtiden wi'l therefore be seen to b& as thoroughbred as Eclipse, and to combine in hia veins 8om« of the very beßt strains ot racing blood. His dam, Cassandra, made her appearanoe on tbe Australian turf m 1557, and in tho short peuod of eight months beat every horse of note then on that turf.
