London, July 18th,
The advance In wool has been maintained; and has increased in proportion to an average advance of 10 per cent., and in same instances greater. Kauri gum is in good demand. Flax commands little attention ; a few lots have been sold. Preserved lneat sales amounted to 826 packages. New Zealand lots sold as follows : — Beef, 6d ; boiled mutton, 4|d to 6id ; ox tail soup, G^d ; smoked sheep tongues, 9d.

Kerosene is dull at 32 cents. There is activity in wool. Full rates are obtained for New Zealand at 48i to 56 cents. Flax is dull. No sales are recorded. Gum is dull,
San Fkanoisoo. Flax hns been sold readily at 22c, to 24c.
Wheat is firm at 1 dol. 65c.
Wool is firm. Spring fine, is at 84c, to 40c. ; burry, 28c. to 33c. ; pulled, 28c. to 50c,
Hides are steady, Dry are ttt 22c. to 230., salted at lie, to lUc,
