A sale of (Government lands was held on Tuesday, in the Land Office, by Mr James Milner, the Government auctioneer. 5700 acres were offered for sale, of which some three-fourths were disposed of. The prices realised varied from 22s fid to 32s per acre, the latter price w:<s obtained for section 5, block X., Strath Taieri district. The total amount realised was £329t> ISsfid.
