The Airedale still remains In the same position. Everything moveable in her has been removed to Waitara. Captain Kennedy is still with the wreck. He is awfully out up. The engines are likely to be got out. There is no doubt but that electricity acting on the iron sand which abounds on the coast from the Manukau to the Bcene of the wreck, must have affected the compasses, as the Airedale was on the same course as that on which she has been steered for the last ten years. A large meteor was seen on~ the 14th at 3.45 a. m,, and the Aurora Australia was visible on the nights of the 12th and 13th from 10 to 10.30 p.m.

There ia no chance of saving the hull of I tho Airedale. /
