WASTE LAND BOARD. SPECIAL MEETING.

[ A special meeting of the Waste Land Board took place at the Government Buildings on the 21st Sept. Present— J. T. Thomson, Esq., Chief-Commissioner (in the chair), and Messrs Reid, Duncan, and Hughes. The following is the result of the business transacted :—: — Mr Dillon Bell's application, dated 18th inst., for about 400 acres. Resolved, that under the circumstances of the arrangement between Mr Bell and the Provincial Government, which effected the opening of the Main Trunk Road to the interior, in which Mr Bell agreed to give up one acre of his property in the flax, for two acres on the hill foot and Bides, as selected in thia application, the Waste Land Board consent to granting tne same under the provisions of clause 83 of the Waste Lands Act, 1866. Tho Secretary for Lands and Works proposed to open the surveyed blocks in Mr Dillon Bell's runs, Shag Valley, and it was resolved that all the blocks surveyed be opened for Bale, and that the same be gazetted. ORDINARY MEETING. The usual weekly meeting of the above Board was held yesterday at the Government buildings, Present :J. T. Thomson, Esq., (in the chair) and Messrs Reid and Hughes. Run No. 436. Resolution of Executive Council as to terms of lease, agreed to ; to bo referred to the Provincial Solicitor to draw up terms of sale per clause 93, and then to be put \ip at auction under clause 94. Upset price &th of a penny per acre. Joseph Robertson's application for permission to romovo flax from tho unsold portion of Outram. No objection, but cannot give exclusive right W. Darling, for John Rooth, applied for looso of a sito for Flax mill, Biueskin Villago, 2 aores, for 7 years. Lease granted for term asked under 52nd olauso, the site being of special valuo, and well adapted for a mill site. Rent L 5 per annum. Survey to bo made at the applicant's expense. Connell and Moodio, as agent for R. Macdonald, applied for part of section 5. block VI., North Tuakitoto. Resolvod to bo put up as land of special value, having been so long reserved from sole, at L 3 per acre, and that the same be sold at Tokomairiro by Mr Capstick, auctioneer. Driver, M'Lenn, and Co., as agents forDugatd Mathoson, apjplied for 80 icres on run 140 B, Glenkomch. Agreed to, considering it is tho homo station of a run. To to sold under 83rd olauso, Mr Connell to bo tho survoyor. Survey to bo taken at tlje applicant, s expense. 88 aoroa to be surveyed. Oonnelland Moodio, as tgont* forE. B.
