DOUGHARTY has the honour to intimate to all buyers of pure-bred stock, that he has reoeived instructions (conjointly with Messrs Ryan and Hammond, and Messrs Powers, Rutherford, and Co.) from ROBERT M 'DOUG ALL, Esq., of Eaßendon, to Sell by Publio Auotion, and Without any Reserve, I at the farm of Arundel, 11 milea from Melbourne, on Tuesday, the 7th day of December next, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon sharp, ONE HUNDRED HEAD of <hat celebrated breeder's best tribes of ahort-horn Cattle, and consisting of bulla, cowb, and heifers in fine breeding order, and wholly void of blemish. To the stockholders of the 'Australian Colonies, it may seem superfluous here to announoe that these cattle have been bred by their present owner, for the last twenty years, with every oare that a matured judgment would diotate, and at a cost, throughout the whole process of improvement, that would now, if revealed, really appear little short of fabulous. The most expensive blood in the United Kingdom has been periodically imported in sufficient quantities for the exclusive use of the berd ; and to indicate that these importations were from the very oream of the cattle of the universe, it may bo here mentioned that the Sires used chiefly for the laat seven yeaia, were — __ MASTER OF ATHELSTANE (14,933), of the " Bracelet Tribe" PRINCE OF THE PURPLE (20,580), of the " Bliss Tribe," and COUNT OF THE EMPIRE (21,497), of tho " Mantalini Tribe ;". . the three families, probably, most famed of all the world-renowned "Booth" Shorthorns. Tne Auctioneers trust that, from the abovb facts, intending purchasers will obobierve that the stock now about to be submitted to the hammer are the immodiate blood relations of those individual beast* whioh took ninoteon-tweatieths of all the prizes offered for Shorthorn Classes in Eng* land last year.
