DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT. Sept. 19, 1867.
Mr C. W. Lgrenzeit, Produce Salesman, Jetty street, reports :—: — There has been no alteration in grain since last week. Tho supply of o*ts and wheat is rather limited, owing to the heavy roads in some' districts, and to the fact that many of the farmers are engaged in sowing. Potatoes are in demand for shipment, and some small parcels lately arrived from the Molyneux commanded £3 15s per ton. The following are the latest quotations :—: — Wheat. — 4s to 4s 3d; inferior, 3s to 3s 6d per bushel. Flour. — Colonial, £11 per ton. Seconds. — £6 10s per ton. Bran. — Is per bushel per ton. Maize. — 4s per bushel. Barley. — Unsaleable, 3s Gd to 4s per bushel, Oats. — 2s 4d to 2s 5d per bushel. Chaff. — Dull, £4 to £5 per ton. Hay. — Oaten, loose £4 10s; trussed, £5 per ton. Straw. — (Oat and wheat), £2 per ton. Rye Grass Seed. — From 6s. to 7s per bushel. Carrots. — £3 10s per ton. Rye Grass, Hay, and Clover. — £3 103 per ton, no demand. Potatoes. — £3 10s ; pig potatoes, £2 10s per ton. Peas. — Green, 15s per cwt. Horse beans, 6s per bushel. Turnips. — £2 to £3 per ton. Corn Sacks. — 15s 6d per dozen. Guano. — £18 per ton. Bone Dust. — £8 per ton.
