JDUNEDIN TRADE REPORT.

Witness Office. April 6, 1866. A very Fair amount of business has been transacted duiing the week. Orders from the Coast, Horth and West, as well as from the interior, -coming forward more freely. Quotations for all staple goods, with the exception of flour, remain 'traehnngfd. Adelaide is now worth £26 to £27. The principal occurrence of interest has been the ■ sale at Messrs. M'Lanrtress, Hepburn and Co.'s xcoms, of the ca go of Mauritus sugars, ex Anna Maria. The whole shipment about 7200 bags — was placed at extremely good prices, in most cases -exceeding late current quotations for equivalent •samples. White crystals ranged from £43 to £44 7s 6d ; second whites, £41 to £43 lOs ; grey and yellow crystal", £38 10s to £40 10s; counters and yellow, £34 10s to £37.

The following are the prices of leading articles: -

Adelaide flour, £26 to £27 10s ; Chilian. £21 to £22 10s ; Otago, £18 10s to £21.

Medium tea, in bond, per chest, £7 to £8 8s ; do. do., half-chest (scarce), £3 to £4 ; good, do., per chest, £7 to £8 10s ; do. do., half-chest, ■£3 10s to £4.

Sugar, in bond : Mauritius, Ist white, £45 ; •2nd do., £42; first counter, £33 to £35 ; second do., £31 to £32; Company's Ist white, £46; 2nd do., £43 to £44; Crushed loaf, 6|d.

Spirits, in l>ond : Brandy, Martell's or Hen•nessy'g, 8s 9d to 93 per gallon ; Martell's, case, full -contents, 31s; Hennessy's, do, 325. Rum, 4s 6d to ss, according to proof; Geneva, J.D.K.Z., per case, 13s to 143. Whisky, per fallon, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; do., case, 12s 61 per ozen. Old Torn, per case, 15s to 16s.

Ale, in bulk, (old), £6 10* to £8 ; (new brew to landi, £10 10s to £11 ; Stout, I3s to 14s 6d, according to brand.

Aromatic tobacco may he quoted at Is 9d to 2s 9d ; dark, at Is 3d to 2s 6d ; and tens' at Is 6d to 2s 3d.

Butter: Cork, good, none; Colonial, & Id "t023 2d.

Cheese: English, none; Colonial, Is 3jjd.

Candles : Full weights, Is 2d to Is 2id. Soap : Liverpool, no demand ; Sydney, none ; Hobson'e Bay, No. 1, none ; Dunedin, 40s.

Coey's and Sinclair's hams, Is lOd to 2s— scarce.

Bacon frera recent shipments, nominally at Is lOd to 2s
