First prize, Ll ; second do, 10s BYE-LAWS AND REGULATIONS. 1. All Stock shown must be boiutfide the property of the Exhibitor. 2. Entries in writing must be lodged wit& the Secretary three clear days before^ th& day of show, when a ticket will be given, stating the class in which the entry is made; which ticket tha person in charge ot the animals or articles intended for exhibition must produce at the gate, in order to show in what position the Exhibits are to be placed. 3. An entrance-fee wiU be charged to nonmembers of the Society on each exhibit, at the rate of 5 per cent, on the amount of the first prize in the class in which the entry is mad&; provided said prize is over the value of L 3, when under that amount 2s 6d each exhibit to be charged. The exhibits of Members of: the Society to be admitted free. 4. On payment of the anaual subscription, for the year ending 30th September, I 86&, a card will be given, bearing the Member's name, which shall admit a lady and gentleman to all the Society's exhibitions duricgr the year. 5. All Implement?, Machinery, &c, must be placed in the Show Yards before 5 p.m. of Wednesday, 2Sth February, and all live stock before 9 a.m of Thursday, Ist March. Note. — Intending competitors are particularly requested to observe the latest date fixed, for the reception of Entries; that the " Entry Ticket" must be produced with each lot at the gates of the Show Yard; also, that noanimal or article will be received for exhibition in the Yards after the dates and honrs specified, as the rules having reference to these matters will be strictly enforced; except in cases where it can be proved to the satisfaction of the Committee that the delay was the result of circumstances over which the intending Exhibitor had no control. 6. Exhibitors of Implements, Machinery, &c in Classes 91 to 136, must furnish, with their entries, a list of the prices at which, they will be prepared to dispose of them to the public. 7. One man will be allowed in charge of each lot if necessary. 8. Members and the Public will be admitted to the Yards from 9 to 12 o'clock of. Thursday, the Ist of March (i.e., during the adjudication of the Prizes), on payment of Five Shillings each ; after that time Members free by Ticket, non-members 2s 6d each. Gates close at 6 o'clock p.m. 9. No person will be permitted to make any drawings of Stock, Machinery, &c without the consent of the owner obtained through the Secretary. 10. Any implement (not classified) adapted to the agriculture of the Colony, which maybe brought forward, shall receive a prizß if considered meritorious. In awarding prizes for implements, workmanship, utility, and cneapnesß will be considered. 11. The Judges are empowered to withhold the prizes in any department in which there is not sufficient merit. Their decision i» all cases to be final. 12. Any prize awarded shall be considered to have lapsed if aot applied lor withm twelve months from date of award. 13. No animal or article can be removed from the Show Yards before 6 o'clock p.m. of Thursday, Ist March. 14. All Exhibitors of Stock will be required to provide their own forage; water will be provided by the Society. 15. No animal from any herd, with regard to which there may be any suspicion of disease, will be knowingly received at the yards? and the owners will, if necessary, be required to make a declaration as to whether their herd has been diseased, within, sit months prior to the day of the 3how.
