DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT.
August 11, 1865 Mr C. W. Lorbnzeh, produce salesman, Jetty-street, reports : — The purchase of a large quantity of potatoes for shipment has caused a slight rise ia the market, the farmers being so busy sowing; that they are unwilling to leave off work to cart the potatoes in at former quotations. There 13 but little demand for other produce. "Wheat— First-class samples, for exportation, 6s 9d to 7s. Flour— Taieri, £17 10* to £18 10 a. Oats.— 2s 9d to 2s lid per bushel. Ryb Grabs Skbd.— Good samples wanted— 7s 6d to Bs. Barlby.— B9 6d to 4s— for horse and fowl food. Hay.— £4 10s to £5. Chapp.-£5 to £5 103. Straw.— £2 to £» 10s. Potatoes.— £3 5s Carrots.— £4 to £4 10a. — in demand. Brah.— £7 lo to £8 per ton. Torkips. £3 per ton. Manoold Witrzbi.. '£2 10s to £8. Maize. 5s to 5) 6d per bushel.
