The Colonel is a dark chesnut, 7 years old, free from white, stands 16 hands hi^h, and is remarkably handsome, strong, and powerful. He is by Cossack out of Edith by Eruigiaut; Cossack by Sir Hercules out of Floi a W i vor by Cap-a-pie, gr.iiidam Cornelia by Grasshopper, &c, both imported. Edith is by Camerton out of Hebe, grandam by Hector, both imported. His grandsire, iHir Hercules, was also sire of Coronation, Faugh a. Ballagh, Irish Birdcatcher, Knight of St George, Warlock, Daniel O'Rouike, Song-stress, &c, all Derby and Leger winners in England. His grandson, Baron, is sire of Stockwell and grandshe of Blair Athol, Caller Ou', St. Albans, and the Marquis. Sir Hercules is by Whalebone, Waxy, Pot-8-os by Eclipse, &c, thus comprising the purest and most fashionable racing strain of the present day. The Colonel ran well in Victoria, winning nine in thirteen of his races; he has been two years at the stud, and has proved himself a sure foal getter ot very promising stock. Terms : - Seven Guineas each Mare, (groom* fee included); if more than three mares, the pro« perty of one owner, six guineas each mare. A well-grassed paddock of 500 acres will be provided free of charge and the proprietors guarantee that every attention will be paid, without responsibility. All mares to be paid for before removal. If sufficient inducement offers, mares will be taken delivery of at the Molyneux and Beaumont Ferries, free of charge, if four in. number.
